Posted on Posted in Uncategorized

There are lots of things you can do to support National Young Adult Cancer Awareness Week. First and foremost, if you know a young adult survivor, make sure THEY know about the resources available to them, that it’s okay to ask for help, and that they are not alone. Here are more suggestions specific to this important week:

Get the facts:

From The SAMFund
From the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults
From Vital Options
From the National Cancer Institute

Sponsor a Young Adult to Attend:

A First Descents Outdoor Adventure Program
The 10th Annual Young Adult Cancer Conference at Dana-Farber Yawkey Center for Cancer Care on Saturday, April 6 from 8:30 am to 3 pm (travel expenses)

Read or Watch Real-World Perspectives:

Reflections from Sam on NYACAW 2011

Perhaps most important? Give a young adult survivor a hug (or two) this week!
