“Cancer has helped to change my life. I no longer want to sit in the passenger seat of my life. I work hard everyday, and then when I get home from work, I work even harder. I provide for my children and teach them the value of education by showing them what hard work is all about, and I hope to also be able to show them that hard work pays in the end. My income is stretched as it is with my medical expenses and raising children... With this scholarship, I will be able to fund my education and/or medical expenses, and still provide the basic living expenses for my family.”
