 “When I first completed treatment and my doctor told me that I could go back to my “normal” life I never expected the challenges that lie ahead. After thirteen years I have accepted what needs to be done and I have resigned myself to putting my life on hold until I can fix the damage one year of hospitalization cost me. I am proud of the person I have become and the amazing changes I have made in the world around me while working towards being “normal” again. However I am not getting any younger and if I am going to reclaim my life I will need all the help I can get, as I get older I am accepting that determination is good but we can’t always do everything on our own.”
