“I have not been able to work since I began treatment; therefore, I haven't had any form of steady income and have taken on an enormous amount of debt. I was on disability for a year, but most of that money went to paying off medical expenses that accrued and I wasn't able to put any money aside to pay for school. Since I have been independent from my parents for eight years, and am single, I am in a very poor financial situation....Receiving financial assistance would reduce a huge burden for me as I am still struggling to find some sort of financial security and go to school full-time.”
