“The SAMFund will allow me to pursue the necessary continued education to achieve my long term goals. Time off for cancer surgery and treatment has diminished my earning potential over the years; I have yet to receive a full annual salary since I became a teacher in 2004, due to extended, unpaid time off. However, my annual earnings are enough to disqualify me from anything but more student loans. The SAMFund would provide greatly needed financial assistance.”
