“In the short term I want to focus on my studies so I can strive to keep my GPA high as I embark on the first of my five-year program. I want to learn as much as I can and equip myself with the proper tools I need to go forward. This is where assistance from The SAMFund would really make a difference for me. Finances are the major obstacles I face in the pursuit of my education. I am essentially alone in this venture. My family is unable to contribute to my education, and I can only work so much during the academic year....The bottom line is that financial assistance will make my life going forward more easily and less stressfully. It will help give me the opportunity to shape my life into something that at one point was something that I never thought I could be.”
