“The grant I received from the SAMFund allowed me to pay for my gym membership, which is essential to maintaining my joints and muscles while on my meds. It also allowed me to stay in school by paying for my books which I would not have been able to afford. I also had 6 months of my prescriptions paid for, this allowed me to not have to worry about the fluctuations in my meds because I knew no matter what a certain amount was covered each month. Having these things covered allowed me to be able to pay my other medical bills as they came in.”
