“Every night as I disrobe for my shower I am reminded, I am a BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR. It is a loud and distinct reminder, a disfigurement that questions my femininity and pains my maternal soul… Breast reconstruction would allow me the ability to play sports and swim freely, without constantly having to adjust my prosthesis...It would balance my body, relieving my spine and shoulder muscles from strain. Breast reconstruction would help me feel as normal as I possibly can.”
