“I was repeatedly told that after my life altering surgery, I could "move on with my life." In some ways I have been blessed to move forward, but not in the manner in which I had anticipated. I suppose I was a bit naïve to think that I would get my same former life back after treatment. I now realize that managing cancer --even after remission --is a day-to-day challenge with unpredictable circumstances. I, like cancer patients all over the world, find myself adjusting to my new normal.”
