 “And so, despite it seeming at first that cancer came at the worst time in my life, I now believe it came at the best. I thought it took away my invincibility when really it revealed to me a hidden part of myself that was much stronger than I ever expected. I thought it proved to me how fragile and weak my existence was when really it showed me how precious life is and how I had to fight to keep it. Perhaps there are other ways to learn these lessons, easier ways, but I'm not sure I would want it any other way."
