The SAMFund was the beneficiary of the 16th annual Mickey Mantle’s Community Service Award event, and raised over $110,000! It was truly this event that enabled us to start awarding grants and scholarships, and so we are incredibly grateful to Karen Rosenberg and everyone at Empire Events Group for working with us.
The Mickey Mantle’s Community Service Award was given to Michael Strahan of the New York Giants and Corina Morariu, pro tennis player and cancer survivor. Thanks to Spencer Ross for being our auctioneer and to Michael Strahan and Kenneth Cole for stepping in to auction off their own prizes, and to Marty Bienstock and George Arzt for being co-chairs of the event.
A great time was had by all!
