Exciting News!

The Samfund and Expect Miracles Foundation have proudly joined forces so that we can more effectively provide support to young adults before, during, and after a cancer diagnosis. We are so excited about this merge because it will allow us to build on the work we've done for 16+ years and positively impact many more young adults and their families. "One of our goals at The Samfund has always been long-term sustainability. By partnering with Expect Miracles Foundation, we will be able to provide more support to more young adults and their families." -- Steve Bandrowczak, The Samfund Board Chair (and new Co-Vice Chair of the Expect Miracles Foundation Board of Directors)

“After 16 years of providing direct support to young adults, we have a clear understanding of the causes of financial toxicity. Becoming part of Expect Miracles Foundation, combining resources, and leveraging our respective strengths and relationships will give us the opportunity to finally get ahead of the problem." --Samantha Watson, CEO and Founder of The Samfund

With The Samfund becoming a program of Expect Miracles Foundation, we are combining 40 years of experience to:

  • Create a more efficient and stronger organization;
  • Allow our supporters to have a greater impact;
  • Be better positioned to save lives and improve outcomes;
  • Help more people survive the financial toxicity caused by a cancer diagnosis; and
  • Help to prevent these financial crises from happening in the first place.

But don't worry! Our work isn't changing, and neither is our leadership. In fact, a new grant cycle opens up on July 17th!

We are so excited to begin this next chapter of The Samfund and so grateful to everyone who has supported our mission and made our work possible over the past 16+ years. With your continued support, we'll be able to do so much more in the years to come!
