SAMFUND GRANT RECIPIENTS
Jonathan, Cancer Survivor
"The Samfund awarded my wife and me a grant to help cover the costs of fertility treatments. Ten months later we welcomed our daughter Sophia to the world. The Samfund has a special place in our hearts and literally, in our family."
Renita, Breast Cancer Survivor
"The Samfund grant that covered my Homeowners Insurance for the year lifted an enormous burden off of my shoulders. Without the help, I would have had a lapse in coverage that would've resulted in me being dropped from my insurance. Thanks to the Samfund, my stress level is down, and my life and finances are back on track."
Jennifer, Breast Cancer Survivor
"I received assistance with my medical bills from The Samfund just in time to keep my debt out of collections. Getting my finances in order has had an immense impact on nearly every aspect of my life. But most importantly the emotional weight of being in debt has been lifted and I'm thriving again!"
Donate today and you can help young adult cancer survivors get out from under medical debt, start a family, pay back student loans, keep their homes, and so much more.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where does my donation go?
Your donation, fully deductible to the extent of applicable tax laws, helps us provide the programs listed above. We are proud to be a lean organization, relying heavily on a small staff, active Board, and big network of volunteers.
How do I apply for a grant?
In order to apply for a grant, you must be between the ages of 21 to 39, living in the United States, and finished with your active treatment. The online, two-part application is available twice a year - in January and June.
What can I do if I need assistance now?
A. Visit our Resources Page. Here, you’ll find lists of organizations that provide support to caregivers and cancer survivors of various ages, diagnoses, and treatment stages. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide emergency assistance outside of our grant cycles.
B. See our Webinar series and our Toolkit program for lots of targeted, relevant information about financial issues common to young adult survivors.
